About Romy Jacobson

Erik Jacobson grew up in Northern Minnesota & lived there until his family relocated to Colorado just before his senior year of high school. After attending the Colorado School of Mines, Erik caught the travel bug & has lived in such places as the Caribbean, Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota & Hawaii. During his travels, Erik became a licensed boat captain & has had the opportunity to meet and work with many people who have helped shape who he is today. Erik began his career in real estate as a landlord & investor in Colorado before returning to Hawaii & becoming a licensed real estate agent. Erik is a member of the North Hawaii Rotary Club where he serves as Secretary and President Elect. Romy Jacobson was born & raised in California. She attended college in Los Angeles where she received her BA in English from UCLA. After graduating she was introduced to real estate as an assistant to a top producer in the San Diego area. She relocated to Hawaii in 1993 to follow her dream of working on the ocean. This is where she met Erik while working on America II, an America’s Cup contender in the 1987 racing season. Romy’s career in real estate began as a landlord and investor. She is now a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Hawaii & recently served on the Board of Directors for the West Hawaii Association of REALTORS®. She is currently chairing the Public Relations Committee for the West Hawaii Association of REALTORS®. She volunteers her time on various committees & is a graduate of the Hawaii Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. Erik & Romy now work together from the Elite Pacific Properties office on the Big Island of Hawaii. Together, they service clients from Kamuela to Kona & specialize in the Kohala Coast Resorts. During their free time the two enjoy travel, sailing, SCUBA, tennis, & time spent with family & friends. They reside in Waikoloa on the west side of the Big Island.
